FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What are some of the advantages to using propane over electricity?

Although propane prices fluctuate with the market, propane usually represents a significant savings over the cost of electricity.  In addition to the cost savings, propane enjoys an unusually high comfort value.  Gas heat will heat your home or business more quickly, gas water heaters heat water faster and have a higher recovery rate.  When cooking with gas, it is really hard to beat propane's even temperature and immediate heat.

What are the differences between keep-full and will-call, and how do they affect me?

When a customer is keep-full, we automatically monitor the level of propane remaining in their tank.  We guarantee that in the remote possibility they should run out out of gas we will replenish their propane supply with no additional delivery charges, 24 hours a day.
As a will-call customer, it is your responsibility to monitor the level in your tank.  Our drivers are generally in your area once a week, some remote areas a little less often.  It is important that will-call customers know their day of the week and give us adequate notice so that we can make sure you get routed for that day.  If you need a delivery other than your normal routed day, we will make every effort to accommodate your needs, but if we have to pull a driver from another area or after hours, special trip charges may apply.

How can I tell what is left in my tank?

Regardless of your routing method, it is always a good idea to keep track of what is in your tank.  Tanks are equipped with percentage gauges either under the lid or on the end of the tank.  Simply lift the lid, carefully as bees like to make their home under there, and read the gauge.  Since the gauge reads in percent of full, simply multiply the percentage times the size of the tank and that is how many gallons remain in your tank.

What do I do if I think I have a leak?

If you suspect that your system may have a leak, immediately shut off the main valve under the tank lid, and phone our office from a safe remote location.

How do I determine what size tank I need?

We will gladly do that for you.  We will analyze what you will be using propane for, taking into account things like total gas load, both residential and commercial, remoteness of your location, and what we estimate your monthly usage will be.  Just phone the office and we will help you identify what size tank you need.
